eduroam at UofT
eduroam (education roaming) allows faculty, staff and students to access wireless services at any participating institution by logging in with their home institution credentials.
Setup
The eduroam wireless network at UofT supports WPA2 with AES encryption. A compatible wireless card with up-to-date drivers and patches for your operating system may be required. Detailed setup instructions for supported operating systems are available on the Setup documentation page.
It is recommended that UofT faculty, staff and students set up and test their computers prior to travelling to a partner institution. Once it is set up, you will have wireless access to any eduroam-enabled institution in the world. While at UofT, you should be using UofT's wireless network (UofT).
Appropriate use
Users of the eduroam network must abide by UofT's Appropriate Use of Information and Communication Technology guidelines as well as any guidelines set out by the home/visiting institution.
Support: Where to get help
Technical support for eduroam will be provided by your home institution. Visitors to UofT should contact their home institution's IT support for assistance. UofT faculty, staff or students visiting another participating institution should contact the Information Commons Help Desk – help.desk@utoronto.ca, 416-978-HELP
(4357).
