Setup documentation

See below for setup instructions for your operating system. We recommend that you set up and test your computer prior to travelling to make sure that it works. While at UofT, you should use UofT's campus wireless network (UofT) as it is the primary wireless network on campus.

Please note: these instructions are specific to UofT users. For visitors to UofT using the eduroam network , follow the setup instructions provided by your home institution.

If you have a device that is not documented above, the following overview provides a general 'getting started' guide:

• If you are a U of T community member, enroll for Eduroam access at the following site:

  https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/utorid/verify.pl

• Configure your device using the following parameters: 802.1X, WPA2, EAP type PEAPv0 (also known as PEAP with MSCHAPv2).
• You will be asked to approve a certificate for a server - please ensure the name you're shown matches 'radius.wireless.utoronto.ca'.
• When prompted for username/password, remember that the username should be entered as 'my_UTORid@utoronto.ca'.
